Anna Schauffler
Anna joined the Moose Pond Arts+Ecology team in the summer of 2008. She assists Brendan and Sam in their varied projects by editing HTML and entering data. When attending the University of Maine in Orono, Anna studied multimedia and worked in a team of student web developers on concept design and implementation. She subsequently worked as a sound engineer intern at a coastal Maine studio and as a live sound engineer for a Portland-based band. She now lives in Newry, Maine where she tends a large home garden and is raising a darling daughter, Eowyn.

Brendan Schauffler
Brendan found his way to Moose Pond Arts+Ecology shortly after returning home to Maine, where he and his wife aspire to create an organic farm in the western mountains. Prior to this move he worked within the non-profit sector in Michigan for Clean Water Action and the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association, where he served as lead coordinator for the first annual Michigan Energy Fair. He brings experience in program management, public outreach, and logistical coordination. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maine. His passions include the martial arts, music (especially electronic, folk, and “nerdcore” hip-hop), swimming, marine biology, and cryptozoology.

Erik Eisele
Erik commutes from the Mount Washington Valley to Moose Pond every day via fiber-optic cable. He lives with his wife, Sasha, and their Boston terrier, Guinness (AKA el Jefe) in a ski chalet in the mountains, where they work to support their rock climbing, mountaineering and skiing habits. Erik graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2007 with a BA in media studies, a BA in political science and an economics minor. He has written, shot, produced and designed for print, radio, video and online media, and he is passionate about all of it. Erik joined Moose Pond to help with their design and production needs – he can usually be found sitting in front of his computer cranking on projects and listening to This American Life. His favorite time of day is the twenty minutes before bed known as crossword hour — he and Sasha currently reign undefeated.

Joe Gonsalves
Joe moved to Sumner, Maine from New Bedford, Massachusetts with his wife Julia and sons Forest, Zephryn, and Atticus in 2000. He left behind a career as a musician with the band "Thought Junkies" to move into his now legendary load-bearing strawbale home that they had just finished building. Joe's affiliation with Moose Pond Arts+Ecology began the following year and he has been helping us with our building projects and gardens for the last six years. His commitment to growing food, living simply, and paying as you go, is an inspiration to all of us.

Sam Little
Sam has been working in production and printing since 1999 both with Grassroots Graphics and the Oxford Group in Norway. Sam is fluent in various types of printing processes from both technological and production standpoints. He also brings expertise in maintaining computer systems and applications, and in the production and development of design projects. His technical expertise, production design, and logistical support for the MPA+E team keep operations running smoothly and help us meet our deadlines.

Shawn Kane
Shawn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1994. After college he worked professionally in product design and cabinet making. Shawn returned to Maine in 2000 to be closer to his family and to the earth and moved to Moose Pond in 2003 where he now lives with his wife Seal Rossignol. He continues to make strides toward an integrated, low-impact life, while employing his design training to explore and use the concepts and practices of appropriate technology.
